the "five" thread

Well with all you lot fussing over the new look for ITV1, you seemed to have overlooked the fact that five has new idents today too! (Apologies if it has already been mentioned somewhere else). Well heres a short collection of the ident so far today:

At first glance, they look to be a huge improvement.

Much better than ITV's efforts IMO. The talentless suits at ITV seem to have forgotten that idents can be nice to look at and interesting as well as asserting the brand.

Very nice! Maybe these have taken the impact away from ITV1's relaunch?

Yep the third one brings back very welcome memories of the very first set of Channel Five idents.

They're not exactly a huge departure in style though are they? More of a refresh than a new look.

They look very nice - so much better than the previous set. I just hope they've made enough of them so they don't get boring - as it's not just a case of shooting a totally random scene and sticking the five logo over it.
