I thought you were watching Eurosport?
Well it was on an ad break at the time, but I'm flicking between them every so often (I'm on Eurosport now) out of curiosity. For studio analysis I've been sticking with Eurosport though.

Ok, this package on BBC1 now looks like one of these daft adverts for the Portugese Tourist Board that you get on CNN.
Whoever's producing this show either wants to work on Holiday or UK History.

Picture quality-wise both BBC and ITV are poor whereas British EuroSport does infact seem better quality for some reason??? Usually the pixellation on Eurosport is abysmal but the quality is the best out of all three broadcasters!
I tried to catch as much of the build-up on BBC and ITV and if ITV didnt have any advert breaks I wouldve said they beat the BBC hands down, ITV had just enough chat and analysis and did show the closing ceremony- whereas, on what I saw on BBC, it was continuing chitchat in the small studio, moaing about the England campaign with one video insert (which was well made) but had really drab classical music on it! Not the kind of music you would expect 15 minutes before the most important football match of the year!
The BBC have continued their art theme throughout the programmes but I think something a bit more upbeat couldve been chosen for the inserts I saw.
Also one other point to add - has anyone seen the CITV promotion for Art Attack in the style of BBC's greatest artists promotions! Its very well made!

Hmm, I wonder what you mean by that. Never let it be said certain people down south are bad losers....
Jeez, get over it - I suspect you enjoyed the 15 minutes of self-indulgence before the game anyway.
Anyway,
. I'll say it again -
. Portugal were dire, but I just couldn't see Greece winning it - I'd like to believe Alan Hansen's comment of "There's hope for Scotland yet", but I think we might be a wee bit away yet...
Quite an uneventful game, the drama coming from the fact Greece were ahead and Portugal's seeming inability to break them down. The fact Portugese TV showed more replays of the muppet invader who almost killed himself when he ran into a goal net than any Portugese chance says it all.
Missed what Des Lynam said at the end of his last broadcast btw - anyone catch it?

Kind of low key really, probably how he wanted it.
