Yes, I know we have a thread on Coronation Street already, however I see no reason why an Emmerdale thread can't be started. Especially as people probably won't thank me for putting Emmerdale information in the Corrie thread.
Anyway, has anybody noticed that one of Jez's favourite Crossroads character is now appearing in Emmerdale ?
Oh, and did anybody get the Sun Emmerdale DVD last Saturday, any good ?
Square Eyes I did hear that Lucy Pargeter was starring in Emmerdale, however ive not seen it this week.
I agree having a thread for Emmerdale is probabaly better than merging it into the Coro St one as some people dont watch both. I wonder if this thread will last as long as the Coro St one
Well this week's episodes are really good, police investigations and court cases and stuff are always good in soaps. Charity is in a state now though as she's lied about Cain buying the poison
I really should try and watch Emmerdale more often but I did see the episodes where Chris Tate died last week and the aftermath. I just find the 6 day week hard to keep up with
Has anyone heard that Marlon cheats on Trisha with none other than Charity Dingle? What is it with the dingle family do they all sleep with their cousins i.e Cain and Charity, Marlon and Charity - even Butch and Mandy got married once!
There are also several characters leaving Emmerdale - Ollie goes next week and the entire Marsden family except Paul and his wife are leaving later this year.

I saw Emmerdale tonight S E. It was quite good although Corrie was better! I do like Lucy Pargeter's character, although she is very different to Helen Raven from Crossroads.
I've gone off Charity and she has now slept with 2 of her cousin's - I know its not incest but its still a bit strange. And her husband only died a week ago and already she has slept with someone else (a married man too!)
She hasn't 'slept' with anyone yet, you'll have to stop reading those spoilers ahead of the episodes!
Well I think that was what was being implied tonight, it was certainly heading in that direction. We'll know for sure if tomorrows episode starts with a bedroom scene

It's like the Soapstars family all over again, new families arrive and within 5 mins they are going again.
Coincidentally in my opinion in both cases the mother and daughter was quite good characters/actors with the father and son a bit poor.
I sometimes feel trying to incorporate a whole family is a waste of time. All the best soap characters are the ones who turn up on their own. What tends to happen is you get new dynasties pitching up and statring with a whole bunch of storylines amoungst themselves - which makes it difficult for the viewer to care about. Then of course we get the inevitable teaser about the family's dark secret.
I can barely think of any new families which have been successful. Battersby's, I suppose.
