Nice festive presentation on CITV!
Has it been confirmed that CITV has been dropped from the afternoons from the New Year? We have afternoon programming such as The Price is Right up until 4pm followed by a 2 hour drama until 6pm listed in the scheduled from 2nd-5th January 2007.
So can we expect CITV back from 8th January or not?

Nothing has been announced, but I think CITV will return to just one hour in the afternoons.

It would be a great shame for the kids if CITV was dropped from the afternoon schedule on ITV1 for good.
So far the christmas idents - breakbumpers etc on CITV are excellent. Much more effort than CBBC's christmas presentation.
Also they had a childrens type christmas movie on this morning on ITV1 - straight after CITV.

Really? What is scheduled there then?
I've heard Ray Quinn's Mum has a new chatshow out.

Price is right at 3.30pm and Morse at 4pm.
Same as 2nd-5th January then. Cant see that schedule lasting long though. I hope they go back to 4pm CITV and 5pm chat show.

Loving the CITV Christmas presentation this year, I too wasn't expecting much, but it looks lovely. It would be much nicer if there was a CITV tune to do a Christmas version of. I still hark back to the 1998-2001 (I think) ident with the tree and the characters on there as it flies up.
Anyway... couldn't they just make up the 8 hours on ITV1 per week with an hour a day and then a return to a Saturday Morning programme, especially now as Saturday Cooks is going to a much better daytime slot in the new year. Though in my mind they should have just put it on at 12 or even 1130 and then left childrens TV alone. If only there was a way to solve the funding problem that will face the UK's children TV market.
