Lockdown boredom has well and truly kicked in so I spent today thinking of how Beat the Chasers Australia may look. Thought I'd share some pics here and see what you all think, didn't think it really warranted a Gallery thread.

First of all I went about changing how the Aussie chasers looked (I haven't done anything with Anne or Mark since they've already got outfits for the Beat the Chasers show). The chasers (if you aren't familiar with the Aussie version) are Shark, Supernerd and Goliath (L to R). I was particularly happy with how the Shark's outfit turned out.

Here is how a version of the YouTube thumbnail but with the Aussie chasers. (I haven't done the logo yet, that would maybe be beyond my capabilities):

Finally here's how the money offers graphic may look:

Let me know what you all think! Smile

Thought you might have changed the pound signs to dollar signs. On the whole not a bad effort.

Too much white clothing.

Guessing The Chase now being sponsored by a charity is due to the new temporary ban on betting ads.

Yeah, Gala, the usual sponsor, must've donated the advertising slots.

Yes, I noticed this while watching today. I googled the charity & GalaBingo are partners.

Who was sponsoring Loose Women? Noticed it was Women’s Aid today.

The Chase is returning to the US, with ABC picking it up for later this fall. Sounds like it might be destined for primetime rather than daytime. It had a short run on cable channel Game Show Network a few years back, featuring The Beast as the only Chaser.

I was half expecting a US network to pick it up. Probably boosted by the success of Beat The Chasers in prime time and presumably a US version of that is on the cards once the brand is established.

It’s also suited to having no studio audience. Although it’s hard to see any of the UK chasers making it over there this time with everything going on. Although they have enough notable quizzers of their own.

I think for a US version to work properly, it does need its own Chasers rather than using the ones from the UK.

I agree. I'd also argue it is a show better suited to daytime or syndication than airing weekly in primetime, though they might get away with limited nightly runs, especially if they're trying to replicate the Jeopardy Champion of Champions. Having two or three Chasers just adds that bit of variation to the episodes too, though I doubt they're even thinking about Beat the Chasers at this stage. If anything they might treat that as a separate show completely.

Beat the Champions might work as a variant on Beat the Chasers.

The issue with The Chase is that daytime syndication is dominated by the big guns like Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Family Feud etc ITV found that out when they tried putting Jeremy Kyle in the US and it became one of many rather than standing out.
