I couldn't find a thread for this so I will put it here, The Chase in on ITV, now. And it looks different, the theme tune is tweaked, and the graphics look different. The studio also looks different. Is this episode a repeat or just a new look?

It's a repeat. From the first series, I think.

Seems far snappier.

I forgot how ugly that contestant desk was, and how big the studio seemed for a pilot. There's no wonder it beat The Fuse when you watch it now and realise how good it seemed.

Has anyone clipped it by any chance?

I think The Chase is a bit flawed in the final round as the remaining team members have to waste time buzzing in and having with their names called out, but the chaser just sits and shouts the answer as soon as it comes to them.

It never used to be like that. That's how in some ways the stronger players are better off on their own, instead of having a weaker player with them. When there is only one player in the final round, there is no buzzer, thus making the questions and answers quicker.

Yes, but there is less of a headstart for fewer players. Not only that, but the players always get to push back when the Chaser makes a mistake - the players can pass as much as they like.

Bigger teams are sometimes at a disadvantage when one player passes too quickly, or when they wait too long for someone to buzz in. That's why a pair is usually best placed to win, or a trio.

Only other flaw I notice, in the final round, why give 4 member a 4 point lead whilst 1 member only has 1 - the handicap, I think, should be the other way round!
