Just saw Ed plugging the SMart website at the ~5pm junction into Newsround - he was inviting viewers to submit their artwork for the new series, later this year. Surprising after Mark Speight's death, although I suppose it's what he would have wanted. Looks like Kirsten O'Brien is staying on, along with that American man whom I don't care to name.

Ed just gave a honest opinion on the Sam and Mark trailer that's been running on the CBBC Channel for their new Saturday morning show, Oucho trying to shut him up Laughing

Thats the good thing that seems to be happening at the moment, Ed doesn't seem to care what he says, and with it being on the CBBC Channel he's forever pushing the boundaries, and good on him.

He is right though, that trailer could have looked so much better if they'd have actually gone to the costume department and added CSO'd graphics on.

Anyway, moving on. Is this definately for a NEW Saturday morning show, or for TMi? As in the trailer they just say for OUR Saturday morning show, no new, but then again, no TMi either.

I hope people have stopped moaning about the 'awful comedy duo' that is Ed and Oucho, because I think they are great! Best CBBC presentation in years.

If you're refering to the you tube clip, they use the old ones mixed in with the new ones, for example the old ones with the edited end to include the characters pointing out 'continues on the CBBC Channel', and 'more online' are still the old ones.

According to the Radio Times website, it seems it's actually a "brand new" show.

It sounds like another one of those very stupid mistakes. Couldn't it be something for a feature on TMi, and surely this wouldn't be the whole basis of a programme would it?

Mark Speight had left the programme in February after the inquest into the death of his fiancée, so in all honesty it wouldn't have mattered to him whether there was a new series or not as he'd have had nothing to do with it anyway.

The BBC have stated that the Mark Speight episodes of SMart (which is basically all of them) are unlikely to be repeated again. Not quite sure what they're trying to do with that. The kids know he's dead, they sent thousands of comments to the Newsround website. They probably worked out ages ago that they've seen the same episode at least four times already and that's its not all done live.
