I think the BBC/CBBC did a bad mistake for series 2 of TMi. It didnt feel as... fun and enjoyable to watch as series 1 with the TMi flat and being able to go to Leicester Square. And did anyone hear any of the TMi presenters say sorry about the phone-ins?

Hopefully TMi will be returning for a third series.

Well the fact that Rani has presented a few eps with Ortis, and the fact that the other day Best of Friends was hosted by Blue Peter's Zoe Salmon teamed randomly with athlete Uwan Thomas may scupper those plans a bit.
I'm still not sure which side of the fence to take over TMi, series one was great, live from Leicester Square, the games were great, the flat wasn't that bad, the programmes were better and it just all seemed more live. Where as series two coped well with the shorter time slot, the lack of Leicester Square, and made an equally entertaining show.

I wouldnt of thought Tmi was returning that quick, wasn't there talk of a show with the presenters from Best Of Friends? Abs and Rani wasn't it?

It's a close call, but I'd have to agree, and for the same reason - as good as the original is, the 90s music just edges it out for me personally, due to the recollection through my earlier years; such is nostalgia. Both superb pieces though, no doubt.
I second that. Maybe its because it was my era. It just is GH for me.
It's clearly an age thing - in my opinion the original is by far the best. The 1990 version was much too bland in comparison - in fact its introduction roughly coincides with when I stopped watching it.
The original theme was the best but it was confusing as Give Us A Clue had the same theme tune but in a different key. And I'm loving the new CBBC idents much better than the first set.

Is it sacrilege to say I actually perferred the 90s version?

I agree although one thing about the Nu Broom Cupboard format is they don't seem to do anything live on BBC1 with Ed and Oucho probably because of their script storyline. However today when it was Ben and Ciaran it was actually live for the 'turn over to the CBBC Channel' bit. They deffo need more than 1 presenter*, even old-Broomcupboard had presenters alternating and they need to dump those crappy dumbed down programmes which are patronising.
*I don't consider Oucho to be a presenter it doesn't speak english unlike Otis

I think everybody on this thread could list the names of CBBC presenters, and probably have their own era of faves. I was there from the beginning with Schofield, Debbie Flint standing in from time to time, then Andy Crane (the very first person to call it CBBC before they officially changed the name), Simon Potter, Simon Parkin, Philippa Forrester, Andi Peters. But now the kids have nobody, no Kirsten (incredibly underrated), Barney or Gemma in the afternoon. It's like how Children's ITV used to be with idents and a voiceover man. It just doesn't seem right.

Oucho is not the first "presenter" who doesn't speak English and I dare say he won't be the last.
Gordon The Gopher didn't speak English and neither did Edd The Duck. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure Otis The Aardvark was the first "puppet presenter" on CBBC to speak English, followed by the incredibly annoying and thankfully short-lived Emlyn The Gremlin.
Oucho has his own charm and appeal but to me nothing can replace Otis The Aardvark, who had an incredibly witty personality. Even seeing him on archive footage on places like YouTube and what not, still makes me laugh.
