I like what I'm seeing, I'm glad that they're not too different, but the one thing that I don't understand is how the timing of CBBC is being worked, things such as the studio, these new idents/stings, and new programmes seem to be all over the place, but thats just me being very picky.
I can't help but feeling that CBBC needs more presenters, looking at old clips on YouTube; the CBBC Channel seems to have lost it's personality with just a pre-recorded voiceover at weekends. I remember about three/four years ago we did have presenters on weekends I was having a random convo with some people I know, they've been channel hopping notice the difference since the rebrand. (Or 'makeover' as they called it, and their first comment was what happened to the presenters)
One has just been shown (I think for the 1st time), it includes Barney, characters from the CBBC online game Adventure Rock, Ed & Oucho. It was 1st on before Ed & Oucho began today at 3:25pm but it was then put back on 2 more times because they loved it because it had themselves in it and and thought peole might of missed it.
Yep, as far as I know all the themes have been aired now. Its great to see CBBC knowing how their theme and branding is important, unlike the 2006 era where idents were poor, and consisted of wishy sound effects.

I agree. Back when the CBBC Channel launched, there was a wide range of presenters and a massive studio. They had presenters that didn't patronise, they would often play games with viewers, have callers and interview those involved with CBBC shows. It was the only kids channel to do that and its a shame that CBBC is slowly becoming 'like all the rest'.

There is serious concern about the drop in viewers for CBBC's afternoon slots apparently; last week only three programmes in the slot had more than 200,000 viewers under 16 and this is raising questions as to what might be going wrong with CBBC.

Thats another case, what the hell happened to the games? It used to be fun to interact and plays the games live on TV. I agree about the past presenters not being patronising as well. It's unsurprising there's threads like this, from kids complaining that CBBC is ruined and gone all baby-ish:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbcbbc/F2697944?thread=4747554 They also used to have a lot of celebrity guests coming in as well, now since it's gone all broom cupboard they rarely have that instead it's storylines from script writers.
Do you remember when they used to have CBBC version of the weather forecast? lol
