Just put BBC1 on and Otis (don't no last name, he's of Short Change) is presenting the new series of Best Of Friends (began last Tuesday) with Abs but Rani was in the first 3 episodes of this series. I'm just wondering where's she gone. Anyone no?

No it isn't, unless he's changed it, Mr Deeley has always been Ortis, whilst the Otis was the Dave Chapman Aardvark puppet.

I always wondered though, when I saw his name on various credits on TV, his surname was ommited, despite other presenters full names appearing. Why is that?

I presume that's because Ortis has such an unusual name. It's just like when someone refers to 'Kylie' without a surname, they're probably talking about Kylie Minogue. Or, for example, Britney (Spears). I assume it's just because of the unusual Christian name that has become his own 'brand' in a sense.
