I think they will do 13 weeks of swap shop then 13 weeks of tmi the 13 weeks of swap shop then 13 weeks of tmi.
Really radical idea. Why not run both shows together, one after the other? That would provide two and a half hours of continuous live material on Saturday mornings, ending the reliance on Tracy Beaker repeats ad nauseum.
(Speaking of which, she's on now in After You've Gone - hardly an oustanding young actress and merely trading off her previous role).

That is actually a very good idea. But why can't we have a 2 and half hour Saturday morning show like we used to? If done well people would watch.

They don't want to put one after the other because the presenter will not do a whole year of prsenting one program. Plus they will have nothing to show after 13 weeks! they will do 13 week of each.
I still think that with the new BBC Switch strand, they are missing a massive opportunity that is right under their nose! They should definitely show 2 live shows on a Saturday morning like they did with Dick & Dom/TOTP Reloaded etc except have one aimed at CBBC, and one aimed at BBC Switch. Perhaps it could even be the same show ie as the show progresses, it becomes aimed at an older audience which is what they have done with similar shows in the past. BBC Switch is not performing well, and using the Saturday morning slot to their advantage could do the brand as a whole a big favour.
As for presenters not wanting to present, I don't really think that is an issue. Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern presented around 120 live shows week in week out, with the exception of 1 week around the new year from 2005 to 2006.
They definitely take the TMi set down when SMart is filming, watch this weeks one? and have a look at when they do some of the challenges you can clearly see the block windows in some shots and nothing from TMi is still up.
They also use the other bit where TMi interview guests and they cover that bit with a white brick wall.
I really don't believe that - you're saying they paint the floor, tear all that stuff down, twice a week? I thought they were in TC9 for cost reasons?
Yep, caught an episode of SMart to see how they put up their set and the block windows have been in view a couple of times, even the doors which lead to the Blue Peter garden but they still had the TMi logo on it!
