Oh... fiddle.

Why can't the awful Falcon Beach on BBC Switch be replaced with a more grown-up version of Grange Hill .

BBC Switch itself should be replaced, or at least completely rethought.

There is no one I know that watches BBC Switch, it just seems like a T4 wannabe.

That's what many people were hoping for. However, the final decision for that would lie with Phil Redmond (as the format owner) and since he already felt the show was aiming at "too old an audience" at the time he took back control I can't see him agreeing to move the show from CBBC.

Besides, CBBC see GH as one of their flagship brands, even if that means fitting in with any changes to their remit.

It would be superb to hear a choir version of the C-BB-C score!

I was thinking the same with sleigh bells and church bells too, why not go over the top, it's Christmas!

Not quite a choir version, but lots of bells and sparkles!

I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer the one they introduced in 1990.The original sounds cheap.

I agree.

Anyhow, looks like these changes should ensure Grange Hill's demise. Absolutely ridiculous that they are bracketing children's programming so narrowly, seemingly thinking that the day they turn 6 kids switch from CBeebies to CBBC, and then as soon as they hit 12 it's goodbye to CBBC.

And 8-14 - is Grange Hill suddenly a primary school now too?

TBH I think it's really silly how CBBC now cuts off is 12 years old, you'd be surprised how many teens do still watch for especially the presenters (Ed and Oucho)
