I don't like this new age range for CBBC, as they're now saying that its for 6-11 year old, but they seem to think that 6-11 year olds are thick, and that older children don't watch.

At the moment with neighbours on BBC One, most people end up putting newsround on early, that used to be a good bulletin, but they now seem to have to totally explain everything. Its heading towards patronising not educating.

It couldn't just be that's we're all a bit old for kids TV now could it?

I guess the new Blue Peter appeal will kick off shortly.

So how would you advise the 6-11 age group about AIDS then? Regardless of how its been tackled, hats off to them for putting it within the programme and making the younger society aware.

Simon - I don't want to have a go but I can understand that you like Grange Hill as its something you inherited from your childhood that has kept with you until present day but you need to move away from Kiddies TV. It's not a place for the grown ups! Laughing

Ed and the cactus on the channel are possibly the best kids television presenters iv seen this side of 2000. They are comedy genius together, constantly entertaining and do not take children for idiots.

(Ed said crap the other day, my little brother gasped)

Do you know what the actual sentence was?
Or was it an accident?, like the programme (or trailer/ident) came on late and he didn't know he was of air

It wasn't accidental in that way, more that he was referring to something as "crap" instead of using a more PG term. He did seem to notice he had said it, but quickly moved on.

CBeebies is showing Melvin and Maureen's Musicagrams this weekend ( 5.15pm ). One from the archives? Unless there's some unwritten ( or even written ) rule I'm surprised they don't occasionally show some other " older " programmes. ( Of course they seem to repeatedly show Come Outside from the Schools archive ).

I'd fancy a bit of Chock A Block or Bric A Brac if they're still somewhere in the BBC vaults...

How on earth are all the carol singers going to fit in that new Blue Peter studio? They'll be marching in one end as they march out of the other Laughing

I'm sure it was yesterday, and i didn't find it offensive, funny actually. My little brother (6) didn't expect it though.
