Saw a bit of Smart earlier, I like the way they disguised bits of the TMi set with a bricked backdrop and covering the blue pillars and adding monitors on them.

Also, why do all CBBC studio based shows have the opening credits playing on monitors in the background now and why do they have DOG's on them?

DENNIS the Menace is returning to TV (CBBC) after a decade — with a politically-correct image in Autumn 2009 http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2001320029-2007460134,00.html

Might be me but contrary to what The Sun reports, I'm sure scenes of Dennis's Dad whacking Dennis with a slipper at the end of most strips stopped at some point in the 1980s around the time that use of the cane in British educational establishments was banned.

That article's a load of crap, sorry. The last slipper stuff was in about the mid-80s, it was hugely long gone even by the original animated show in '96.

I remember the BBC doing a report on a relaunch of The Dandy in 2004, and they were saying how for the first time all the pages were in colour. It went full colour in 1993 , so did the Beano! Fools.

i noticed the other day thay Barney walked from the main part of the studio to a second area however there was just a straight camera cut. Would I be right in presuming its a longish set but with remote controlled cameras to cut costs?
