No Blue Peter next week - has the series ended v early or is it just a break for some unknown reason?

Just been reading on the Freeview EPG guide, that CBBC Channel are repeating Merlin. Will they need to edit it at all?

Shouldn't think it'd need any, was teatime on BBC ONE so the audience on CBBC at 1630 is no different.

Just been looking back at old clips of CBBC from 2002. This made me laugh:

I'm not really a fan of the new office style, but I'm sure a lot of people here do remember that style a lot more than me when it was on air. For me TC9/10/2 is what I liked; the big studio as well as the garden. It's amazing that this clip is from nearly 10 years ago now. What will CBBC be like in 10 years time, I wonder.

Hopefully back to some form of studio, and not the broom cupboard.

Already the 'office' is better than what came before - remember, it was just a CSO.

Cheesy graphics and patronising presenters? blah. Glad I grew up during the yellow era and bugs.

Glad to have grown up in the era of low tech graphics and legendary presenters

Agree. The hilarious antics of Dick and Dom on CBBC afternoons.

Around 2002 CBBC used to be more of a magazine show so it warranted a bigger studio, but since they've shifted the focus to just 6-12 year olds, they only really do links inbetween with the odd sketch and presenters have become younger and more patronising. There also used to be the crossover with XChange in the same studio, along with UK Top 40 being filmed on the XChange set, none of which they have any more. A bigger studio would be nice but they don't really need it.

What is TC9 used for these days?

It was used for TMI, is Studio 10 still the home of CBBC for the office set? or is that not a real studio used?
