I've just seen CBBC has started the campaign for the rebrand. Short trailers are showing the message: "Five Days - Save Me A Seat".

The CBBC website also has this on the banner.

What is the current CBBC font? It's NOT custom, having also been used on the Comfort "Dr Comfy" ads.

It's not custom, it much like it's predecessor is available to anyone who wants it and is called Baby Mine.

TMi's website has been updated this week, it looks like they're repeating it on the CBBC channel at 5pm:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/tmi/holding.shtml

I wondeer how TMi will work now that the BBC can't do phone in competitions?

Interesting with what they've done there with the logo. It's a shame that its now only going to be 90 minutes long, why can't we have proper saturday morning programmes now? Unless the idea is for it to be 90 minutes so that they can show it later on the channel.

As for the phone in comps, perhaps thats more the idea of this tagline, maybe its going to take on the chinatown challenge role and turn into a showdown between the two of them, I just can't guess yet.

Maybe we can see a return to writing in your answers on a postcard or stuck down envelope!

And they have the cheek to ask for more hours?

The BBC says it is seeking an extension to 9pm because "we recognise children don't go to bed at 7pm". Well shouldn't the BBC behave like a responsible Auntie in this case and keep the current hours to encourage children to do their homework and develop other interests?

So Gemmas leaving, which makes me wonder what is going to happen on the channel as Ed was said to be on CBBC one in the afternoons, no mention of the channel, unless we get inundated with Anne Foy.

As for other kids news, with ITV thinking of selling the a freeview spectrum, there is talk about them getting rid of CITV instead of ITV2+1 (presumebly, they'd then give Virgin the 24 hour, use their existing for ITV2+1, and then use FTN's current (if a swap is negotionalble) to air ITV4).

I would still take the risk of extending both ITV4 and CITV, or if getting rid of the channel on freeview, make sure that its available online. I really think that ofcom should step in if they tried to get rid of the channel as well as programming on ITV1.
