The TV Burp knitted character has been in loads of places this week, I expect the CBBC 'visit' is probably a play on the whole 'kids can't enter even though its a child friendly prize' thing. It has also been on Something For The Weekend, Loose Women, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and a few others.
Bit more info for you CBBC enthusiasts I thought I'd share- I'm not an insider or anything, friend of a friend type situation. From January there will be a new unknown presenter, not sure if there will be any more or not. Without revealing names, the one I know of is Northern and has done a couple of video links for BBC3 so some of you may recognise him.

I was expecting one of the others to be leaving, but I imagine it might just be morning/daytime/relief. I think putting him basically as the face of CBBC would be a bit much at the minute, although from what I've heard/seen is he will be very good.

It's more likely the new guy will start on weekends - which is where Dan & Jeff and Iain & Hacker both started out

Yeah, They start out at Weekends like a trial run! Then move to what ever there is..... Maybe this new person is being 'trained' at weekends for Feb Hoilday mornings?
