This is aimed at well below my age group (same as a lot of people here I'd think!) but strangely I really enjoy TMi. I think it copes very easily without Caroline to be fair and Sam & Mark hold it up on their own very well. Kind of reminds me of series 1 of SM:TV, only better.
Yeh, but how much does budget actually matter for these kind of shows? SM:TV's early problems weren't down to the budget. Once Ant, Dec and Cat learnt to relax and just do what they wanted and not try to copy the other side it became a success. I don't think the addition of a bigger set had much to do with it.
But yeh, I do see what you're getting at comparing them. It's hard to believe SM:TV went on for 2 hours live almost every week of the year (3 hours if you count CD:UK) and used the expensive Studio 2 at The London Studios. Madness.
So what did everybody thing about TMi this morning? I thought it was great
Another good show! Sam and Mark are doing brilliantly and the new games are fantastic, though I think the programme has a much better overall atmosphere when it's live. It's also nice to see some online content appearing on the CBBC website as in Series 3. I think Serious Gameshow is too long though, and I'd like to see some other games return from previous series. It's a very different show from Series 1, but it's still very entertaining and it's great TMi is here for a fourth series!
It was really good to see TMi live yesterday! Does anyone know where the bedroom set is located? I can't imagine it being in TC9 but I don't think TMi occupy any other studio space? I'm really enjoying the new games, and I thought the show had a much better overall atmosphere yesterday. It'll be interesting to see what the viewing figures are like for the show, especially since the programme doesn't seem to have been given as much publicity this series.
