1 hr 30 mins?! Is there are reason why its so short?

TMi's also the same duration nowadays but the excuse for cutting TMi down was that they got less viewers from 11am onwards. That's what I read anyway.

I think it's a bit strange, they may as well just commission it until midday when Switch takes over rather than having a programme from 11.30 - 12.
Now that Sportsround in on CBBC Channel on Friday afternoons, they should run until 12. It's a shame about the length of TMi nowadays. I have been watching the second episode of the first series earlier, it was a much better show with the surely game, birthday bingo, loot machine, and even items such as chinatown challenge.

Anyway back to the matter of length, I presume Dick & Dom would have 3 hours (as it was on CBBC Channel originally) if it wasn't for TOTP Saturday, but then without TOTP Saturday there wouldn't have been TMi at a guess.

Transmission Impossible with Ed & OuchoSaturday 16 May
10:00am - 11:30am

Trevor and Simon use to have a slot called Transmission Impossible during their Live and Kicking days (I think itw as during the Zoe and Jamie era) and this 15 minute slot was aired one evening on BBC2. This was more comedy routines rather than the pop panel at the end of the programme.

Oooo this is rare, one video from CBBC Channel's launch day, the other is Angellica giving a preview of the new set up along with a CBBC bug on BBC1's balloon ident.

so they don't share gallery facilities then? you're 100% sure on that?

Don't change your assertions when you realise you're wrong!

They share floor space that is all I meant.

They don't.

The office set is just in a small room shared with Newsround.

It isn't.

It was one room that they devided to accomaodate CBBC.

Untrue.

Err...yes they do share a room in as much as they are the same studio split into two all going through one gallery. Newsrounds.

They're two seperate studios which can be controlled from one gallery (actually the Pres one, not Newsround's) and Newsround still has its own gallery down the corridor from the Newsround studio.

I shan't say any more on the subject. Come down to Wood Lane and I'll show you around.

It's very dull. It should only be allowed on a forum about television presentation. Oh.

Sounds good East Tower is it - shouldn't take me long from White City!

Ed Petrie says on his Twitter feed that he's losing his Saturdays for 3 months - which implies that it's live, that it has a 12 week run (which seems standard for the Saturday morning shows at the moment) and that Sundays will be pre-recorded. So very Bungalow-esque.

Should potentially tie in with the rumours of TMi returning in August as that would follow on from the end of this series. Will be good to have a traditional Saturday morning show back in the summer months again - first one since 2006!

Is this new show with Ed and Oucho live or recorded?

Is it me or has Oucho picked up a load of potty mouth? Laughing

It's definitely live (well apart from Sunday's episode)

A very good first show, not sure if they needed both pinky & perky and the secret show as well the legend of Dick & Dom in a 90 minute show (I'd personally drop Pinky & perky), but I enjoyed it as a big kid who already loved Ed & Oucho.

I love the idea of the programme that they asked the big big cheese for a Saturday morning show, and when it was turned down they brought a blimp at a car boot and took to the air & to the airwaves.

The transitions that they use to make it look they are taking control are very good, and the titles are theme go great.

What did anybody else think?

And if you missed it, catch it here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/cbbc/episode/b00kp49m/Transmission_Impossible_with_Ed_and_Oucho_16_05_2009/

Watching the first 10 minutes via the iplayer it seemed fairly good or at least Ed seems to present well. I think pretending to hijack the airwaves is also a convenient excuse for the low budget feel to the show, and also covers for if things go wrong (eg. technical problems).
