Actually didn't they briefly return to a "real" set at Christmas 2006? And by the following Christmas they were in the broom cupboard - er I mean office set.

So is TC9 just lying dormant now?

The office set is just in a small room shared with Newsround.

They don't share a room.

They did briefly return to a rather 'snowy' TC9, yet returned to the basic CSO in January 2007 until September when the broom cupboard aka Office Set was launched.

How can you say this form of presenting is more entertaining than Ed and Oucho!

The continuity is nothing without them.

The format is wrong/not flexible, it only works for Ed and Oucho! Sam and Mark look like they're used to standing up.. at least they aren't patronising in comparison to other relief presenters in this set up.

Part of me thinks that they need to get rid of the office set, for me it's only worked for Ed & Oucho, it hasn't worked when anybody else has filled in, especially when it's two human presenters.

Agreed

Err...yes they do share a room in as much as they are the same studio split into two all going through one gallery. Newsrounds.

This is the newsround updates on the CBBC channel rather than the full NR programme which comes from TC7

Am I the only person who think Sam and Mark aren't that great ( at anything? ) Rolling Eyes

I expect that JK and Joel will be ed and oucho's permanent replacements. I don't really rate sam and mark either. I hope the 2002-2007 format will return soon and bring some consistency and more importantly more viewers to the show. Blue Peter's viewing figures have decreased and I think the office set up can take some of the blame.

That's like saying Horizon's ratings have declined due to BBC Two's Window on the World idents. People will tune into Horizon because they want to see Horizon and won't be deterred by whatever on screen presentation is used to introduce it, and the same applies to Blue Peter.

Besides, it's generally accepted that Blue Peter's ratings decline is down to:
1. Earlier time slot
2. Change in target audience

...and the cbbc revamp!! The dates from when CBBC's and Blue Peter's viewing fugures dropped conicide with each other. Conincidence???
