seems a waste on TMi using the Christmas titles for only 1 show. Are they madde in-house?? I know Liquid TV made the first series titles (which are by far the best)
And they used the Christmas BED today =] I hope they come back for a fourth Series as i really enjoy TMi, but i do agree that it's gone downhill since the move to TC9, and i dont think cutting the time town from 185(?) mins to 90 mins really helps.
I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but according to Wikipedia, TMi on 22nd November 2008 was pre-recorded. Does anyone know if this was the case? I doubt it, but the page suggests it was for that reason the TMi DOG wasn't present for that programme. Wikipedia has been wrong before, and I highly doubt a programme such as TMi would be pre-recorded?
I've really enjoyed this series, and it will be interesting to see if the programme returns. It's a shame it can no longer be filmed in Leicester Square, I do agree having that location added something to the programme that's missing with Television Centre. Nevertheless, I believe the producers do a fantastic job with limited resources and time.
I believe much of TMi is pre-recorded now. But i read on here that the DOG wasn't on screen on that day but i think that was just a technical problem.
the only time a TMi show has been totally pre-recorded was Christmas Day 2006, when they were on BBC One. But i don't think it has been since.
I'm suprised MTV don't use LS1 or rent it out either as it's a very nice studio. TC9 is unsuitable for TMi, always has been, always will be.
TMi was on for four days during Christmas week of 2006 and the main show on the saturday, they were all pre-recorded as in some shots it would be day time and then when it got to China Town Challenge time it was really dark outside!
Did anyone see the look on the girls face when Caroline was saying that they were the 98th, 99th and 100th TMi-ers. She gave a huge sigh and looked dead "I can't be arsed"
I think TMi would be best going out at 10am as well (and to be on until 12pm). I also think if they aren't going to move to a better studio "with personality" (I think that was the reason for TC9) then they should get a bigger studio and in effect change TMi into a L&K, Saturday Show etc clone with a live audience. It just feels dull in TC9 but for some reason it was a lot better in Leicester Square. Maybe it was the fact that a lot was set in public. It will be interesting to see what will happen when CBBC moves to Salford, and if it moves next year when the complex is set to open. I also wouldn't be certain about Caroline returning next year (if TMi does at all)- her career appears to have taken off lately.
Some really funny links today with regards to Ed and Oucho's new show that started today, not watched it myself but have heard it is rather amusing even for the slightly too old viewers like us lot.
Heres one of my favourite links from today though.
Short breakdown during Swap Shop today - what sounded like the live announcer made an apology. Barney eventually apologised too once they got out of one of the interminable game show VTs!
