The new season of Casualty has just started on BBC ONE, and as we know, tonight's opening episode features
a disastrous train crash, which has just happened as I type this. I notice they seem to have adopted a shaky
camera effect for the first scene inside the hospital Which is somewhat annoying.
Use this thread to post your comments about the storylines and of course the presentation of this new series,
Interesting. They had BBC News 24 doing a report with 'realistic' looking graphics etc ... they also looked perfectly clean and untarnished with pointless changes.

The graphics were real - they were recorded in the News 24 studio during Breakfast one morning.
Quite a number of BBC dramas come through in the mornings.

Not daring enough to inflict the horrors of the News 24 set on the viewing public yet though might look a bit too much like the crash site.
Who is the presenter though - i dont recognise her voice?
Don't think it's a proper presenter but her voice is familiar. Either that or it is a proper presenter but not done via the studia but VO Booth/Studio. They audio is too perfect for an open room/studio.
Even though I don't watch "Casualty" much, this has been the best episode I've seen for quite some time.
If it weren't for the stuffy old "Last Night of The Proms", this episode could have been shown as a feature
length episode, instead of being cut in two halves, and spread across two nights over the weekend.
