Sky's "The British" is the worst history programme of all time.
It gets "celebrities" to comment over actors recreating important events.
Playwright Kwame Kwei-Armah: "When I think about Caxton and the printing press, it excites me. Can you imagine? Well, I can imagine. I can compare it to an i-Phone 4."
It takes the "I Love 1970" format and uses it on history.
Is it really necessary to have Terry Wogan, Russell Brand etc telling what they think about historic events?
Is Sky's audience so stupid?
Come back Simon Schama!
