So, it seems after weeks of advertising same night repeats for The Bill on ITV3, they've gone and pulled it from the schedule tonight and tomorrow and also the Saturday Omnibus Shocked

Tonight, at 11pm something called The Jury is in the EPG and Digiguide, and tomorrow The Brief.

Is this a rights issue, (something to do with the channel now being on Sky ?) you'd have thought they'd have sorted this out prior to advertising this so heavily as a unique selling point.

Knowing the wise fools at ITV they were probably concerned that last week no one watched the same night repeats on ITV3 so pulled them from the schedule Laughing

How very strange. Have they still got the Kerry point of view special after tomorrow nights episode of the Bill?
I presume that it will be a rights issue for it to be pulled so quickly, very strange though.

I'm surprised that The Bill never actually got an omnibus edition or repeats on ITV2.

It may be a rights issue at present - as ITV3 is currently free-to-air on satellite.

It didn't, but when ITV2 started in December 1998 there was usually a catch-up on Fridays at 9pm, that was when there was only one 60 min episode per week compared to the old 2 X 30mins, I can't remember how long it lasted, but I've still got one on tape from 1998, with appauling On Digital breakup.

I am not sure if it's a rights thing, apparently according to DS Forums, UKTV Gold were allowed first repeats, but though they must have sorted it out if they were promoting that The Bill was going to be on ITV3.

Now as far as I remember ITV2 wise The Bill hasn't been on there since 2001, the only exception was 2003 when they showe the first ever episode, but I think ITV must have bought the right to it from Fremantle Media or something, can never remember UK Gold showing it. Plus the 1st episode was a Thames play from their Storyboard series, as that episode wasn't called The Bill, just simply 'Woodentop'

I just can't get into The Bill anymore. It was looking up until Todd Carty joined, then the storylines just got silly in my opinion.

They should go back to an hour-long episode each week, and concentrate on a decent script and storyline.

That was just some random visitor who claimed all sorts of stupid things a month or so ago - he even said Americans would re-elect George Bush!

The Bill special on ITV3 is quite good - a bit more original than the usual cast comments on a character.

Also, the Blue Dove drama was quite good. It's a three yr old programme thats been resting on the shelves - complete with hearts credits. I wonder if ITV3 may also screen some of the dramas that have been axed mid-run on ITV1?

Nice ident it was too.
Also noticed that ITV1 can't look at a TV Guide as at the end of Holiday Showdown they trailed next on ITV3 - 10pm - Taggart, when in fact it was the brief and Taggart is on at 11:30.

This is a bit of a sham isn't it, the repeats of The Bill was one of the selling points of ITV3!
