I like it but I think the tradition of short running superintendents will continue which will mean the end is near for him. The last one is also merited.

In a recent interview on GMTV, the actress who plays Stevie revealed that she has seen the episodes that will be shown after the time slot change and she says they are really glossy and awesome.

For goodness sake, if it is going into High Definition then what is the point of blurring the picture and overly increasing the contrast? I can not watch Holby City because of this. I have watched The Bill all my life and I cannot believe this is going to happen, well see if I care, just let them know they have lost a very loyal fan who will not return to watching it (or watch repeats).
PS: If you cannot think of any storylines then think of something better other than setting Sun Hill Police Station on fire.

I wonder if they'll change the titles and theme again in attempt of yet another revamp?

The Bill has had many great episodes in the past but the storylines that stand out for me of all time have to be..
- June Ackland's house fire (1993)
- Beech on the Run (1997)
- Jim Carver's battle with alcohol (2000)
- The bust up between Meadows and Chandler (2003)
- The live episodes (2003 / 5)
All of these (with the exception of Meadows and Chandler) I think were shown at 9pm.. so perhaps The Bill may bring out some dramatic stuff again but not if they go over the same ideas i.e. Sun Hill blowing up..

I personally liked when they set the building on fire. I prefer when one of the actors is killed of then just leaving which is more common in recent times. It makes it more exciting

I do agree that's more dramatic: However I suppose just having them leave gives them scope to return (as happened with Smithy) and also reflects how people get (sideways) promotions in police force. I think it would get a bit a morbid if they died half the time
