I reckon it'll go out on a whimper, hence the send off documentary.

I don't think it'll go out on a wimper, however I wonder if they'll leave the ending "open" just in case.

Is there any news of them doing one of specials for DVD or are they not going down that route?

The ending is just Meadows turning a light off and a camera panning out of Sun Hill, no closures or anything, so you never know.

It doesn't spoil the story, how is Meadows turning a light off revealing whether or not Sun Hill get the gang that raped the girl.

I plan to do the same, aren't you overreacting a bit? What has been spoilt? If you didn't want to know anything about the programme then you should probably not visit this thread again until after next Tuesday.

The last ever Bill episode airs tonight at 9pm on ITV after 27 years :'(
Not sure if it is a spoiler but Smithy will say the last ever line on the programme

Five members of the Bill cast (past and present) appeared on This Morning today speaking to Eamonn and Ruth.

Some of the cast will also be talking to Ben Scotchbrook and Lucy Cotter on London Tonight at 6 on ITV London.
And then there is "Farewell The Bill" tonight at 10.35pm after News At Ten.

The Bill has been a great series and although it may not have been some peoples cup of tea The Bill is a brilliant show and it is such a shame that it has to come to an end. Like all good things I guess.

I'm intrigued to see how they time the one continuous shot.

A great 6 minute tribute video here: http://youtu.be/GCuoyCmR6B4 . Seems to be a distinct lack of Burnside and the early years gov, but apart from that we've some evidence on the 26 year case.

So many memories! Some of them episodes seems like I was watching them yesterday. There have been some incredible story-lines over the years.

What is interesting is Sun Hill is in East London - Postcode E1 4KM, however the division call sign is "S" "Sierra [Oscar]". That call sign is for Barnet (SX) and when the Met brought in the 2 letter call sign in they used "Uniform Oscar" but were told it was in use by the TSG [Territorial Support Group] (then called Special Patrol Group) and the Met told them to use an unused one like "S". Clearly a lack of communication between the brand managers at Scotland Yard and the area planning units.

Great ending - Shame for the announcer woman talking over the end credits remix.
