The Bill

Has The Bill had a new producer or something? Only 15 minutes into the episode, and there's been several random occurances of background music (both incidental a couple of short bursts). What the hell is it all about?

this weeks episodes are specials (set in Romania) - I would guess that has something to do with it.

I haven't watched the Bill in years, but the very random incidental music combines with the wooden acting and jerky camerawork to make this look like some BBC Schools video from the 90's!

Has this special been shot in HD or something? The picture looks shockingly different to normal episodes. Or is it just more concentrated lighting.

The background music was irritating and didn't fit the show.

Besides that last night's episode was an improvement on recent Bill episodes.
