It's one of their biggest shows, and it's probably been going down in audience size.

They've had some very big storylines recently, and they were heavily promoted on ITV1. But the plots are abit "thin on the ground" at the moment so they are probably just trying to keep up it's profile with these promos.

EDIT: Does anyone have pictures of the sets for "The Bill" or "Family Affairs". I tried having a look for an ariel shot on Google Earth, but Morden, SW London is outside the area where they show the most detail Confused

Yet another PC gets killed in The Bill this week. It is on tonight and tomorrow at eight. At this rate there will be no one left. Hang on, the replacement in the shape of Gary Lucy ex Hollyoaks is just around the corner. His opening storyline has been used on The Bill many many many times before.

I wouldn't say the plots are bit thin on the ground; just that they seem to be returning to more of an emphasis on crime storylines rather than the soapy, and OTT plotlines which were so dominant under the previous exec producer.

I wrote that comment without knowing what was happening in last night's episode....so perhaps I can be forgiven Shocked

However, even the disposal of yet another main character didn't do much to help the ratings last night according to "BroadcastNow", with only an 18% share of the audience. Sad
