I thought it went very well. I imagine the use of walkie talkies played had extra use tonight, instead of the 'police' just talking to noone it acted as a useful method of cueing when cut between scenes (ie. from indoors to outdoors etc.). At times the camera was a bit shaky, but that was to be expected being live, and I personally felt it added to the atmosphere (when there was the 2 in the room).

Not watch The Bill much at all over recent months, but good episode tonight!

I know last time they did the live episode they had two actors continuosly improvising for the whole hour so they could cut to them at any time if the planned scene failed - but it doesn't look like they did anything similar this time!

P.S. Didn't see it till during Emmerdale tonight, but the trailer for the live episode was brilliant too!

The actress who plays Honey Harman was on GMTV earlier and she said if anything had gone wrong in tonights episode they would cut to her eating vol-au-vaunts talking to three NON-speaking extras in the Canteen!

I think the episode was brilliant, and will watch the re:Play on ITV3 a bit later also, but the only thing that upset me was the continuity announcer at the end who said "Well done guys, good effort..."

But then again she went on about The Fast And The Furious (ITV2) and said "they can give me one"... so I take it noone re-read her script tonight!

Let's see more live episodes of the Bill. I'm suprised Coronation Street aren't doing a live one for ITV50, but it won't be long before the BBC pick up on it and we'll see EastEnders Live!

Freemantle Media/talkbackTHAMES did a great job tonight.

I thought this at first, but was then told that the intruder was shot twice at the end. Once in his back because he winced forward a bit, then the second charge which produced the blood in his front.

It was absolutely fantastic. I'm one for actually concentrating on the production rather than the episode when it's filmed live normally but i was well into the drama this time around.

There were a few tiny tiny mistakes. The boom popping into almost a quarter of the shot for a second was very noticeable, some very rough camera work at some points. One scene where the copper with the wire in his ear had a closeup on him, the camera was shaking like an earthquake.

And of course people mentioned there were 1 or 2 cues missed, so you had people standing still for about half a second and then suddenly moving and starting their dialogue.

I know i'm faulting, but overall i think it was a fantastic effort, brilliant! Great work by all sides. I honestly think they should do this more often.

Did they use part of the 'Family Affairs' set again, like they did last time?

(I gather the sets are near to each other!)

Both shows are filmed at the same studios in Morden south west London so that'll be a yes! Very Happy

It's one of their biggest shows, and it's probably been going down in audience size.
