Well, its a shame Mark Wingett (Jim Carver) is leaving the show after 21 years Sad

Just watching The Bill Carver Special on ITV3

Although an original, as a character I won't miss him at all. I think they were probably wise to axe him - and getting axed isn't always a bad thing - just ask Todd Carty!

I really like The Bill but I just think the constant race storylines are getting tedious!

I agree!
Sometimes I think they should have more humourous moments like when Reg + Des went to Southend to see his girlfriend! Laughing

Reg is a legend!!! Cool

I don't understand why they see the need to kill off anyone who's been there more than a few years. With the exception of some of the real old-timers, Ken was one of the longest running characters. It's a shame to see him go IMO.

I taped Thursday's edition and was rather irritated when I watched it back last night to hear the announcer say "tune in again at 10"! So Carver's leaving? Ooh that's a bit dodgy. The day Jack Meadows goes is the day I take up gardening at 8pm on a Wednesday and Thursday.

SPOILER...
According to the website, Jack and Jo find Colin with a lighter and petrol can in a lock up. It hints at the pair being killed, but i doubt they will kill Jo as shes fairly new, but I think they will kill off Jack. He's been there long enough and hes not got a 'cult' following like Reg

Where was Meadows in last weeks episode?

That's not the point. Rolling Eyes

The thing with this Gabriel storyline is that the climax really won't excite me now. I mean Kerry found out, then Andrea, and they both got killed off, it's got a bit boring now.[/quote]

Whilst the Gabriel storyline is kind of interesting - it does strike me as a bit of a rehash of the Kathy Bradford storyline in ways. Rogue, psycho officer, who gets rid of people who suss her (or him in the case of Gabriel)

Haven't watched The Bill regularly for a while - and whilst the fire/explosion was well handled, it did strike me as a desperate repetition of the previous fire storyline. How many Police Stations get burned out badly twice in 10 years?

Well a) your average police station doesn't tend to get burned down much so therefore would not make great TV and b) The Bill is a drama not a reality fly on the wall documentary.
