Now, I didn't watch all of this (only for research to comment on here) but one of the contestant's face was a right picture when he found out his 'celebrity' partner was Lizzy Bardsley!
The show is just an embarrassment - the sooner it goes, the better!
I'll shut up now, sorry.

That was the point as the contestant obviously thought it would be someone like Judith Keppel

As I say, I didn't really watch all of it.

I wouldn't have thought ITV really buy all those lottery tickets anyway. Surely they just make up the numbers and then take out insurance against any of them winning too much. Didn't WWTBAM do this in early shows too?

And normal players aren't really affected either - if one of the 100,000 tickets was the winner it'd only be like one more person winning the jackpot. A little bit less in the jackpot fund, yes but doesn't reduce/increase the odds.

that's a good point - ITV probably don't buy 100 000 tickets, and instead generate their own numbers to match to the draw, therefore saving them £100 000 initially.

Indeed. It's been gone for a while...any date of Mel's/Gabby's return?
I'm 99% certain it's been axed. Shame, great format - though too many contestants last year (9 up from 8 up from 7). Also, slightly unfair at the end as the viewer game was far easier than the studio endgame.
ITV1's The Vault will be back in the schedule in the autumn as part of ITV1s new-look Saturday night that will also feature a new series of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway . Don't forget that ITV plc is screening Junior Eurovision again this year, and possibly on ITV1!

Hmm...I would have thought Camelot would have something to say about that if it were true. And it would give ITV zero chance of landing the draw contract. Anyway, isn't it illegal to run other games based on the Lotto results? Which is why bookies offer Irish Lottery betting instead of UK...

Camelot are mentioned in the T's & C's on the ITV website.
It appears that should someone win the jackpot via one of the 100,000 big call tickets, Camelot would arrange the publicity to annouce this.

How did Channel4's Last Chance Lottery work? Didn't that use the lottery numbers in some way?
