Surely the odds of winning anything decent are really small. Even with a £100,000 worth of tickets that's still only a 100,000 in 14 million chance of winning.

Well it's effectively a 1 in 140 chance of winning a lottery jackpot...
And normal players aren't really affected either - if one of the 100,000 tickets was the winner it'd only be like one more person winning the jackpot. A little bit less in the jackpot fund, yes but doesn't reduce/increase the odds.
I thought Julian Clary on the lottery was bad.....but this....?!?!
No! Julian Clary on the lottery is unique! I wasn't so sure at the beginning of the series, but the way he offends his guests mocking their hair and clothing, his naff jokes in between each question and jokes about Vanessa Feltz each week is sheer class! Enjoyable stuff.
Whereas Foxy on The Big Call just monotonously reading out a load of questions for about 45 minutes to celebs and punters standing on a Blankety Blank set and then trying to raise any sort of excitement in the last 5 minutes, is sheer boredom and useless!
The ratings speak fro themselves! Julian Clary got just under 5 million and Foxy got 2.6 million - a pretty embarrassing figure for a highly promoted show - another axe looms I reckon!!
This is way less than what previous quiz shows in this slot have achieved in the past...namely:-
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
The Vault
Family Fortunes

Anyone notice the irony here?
Julian Clary's lottery show - "I wasn't so sure at the beginning of the series" but now its ok. Foxy after one episode, axe it.

Yes...but after the 1st Julian Clary episode, I thought...well, that programme was a bit strange...mocking everyone, the host not really know what's going on and awful but laughable jokes - this is kind of unique telly here. I'll watch it again next week if I'm in. And a few weeks later I did and enjoyed the show due to its quirky entertainment values! The other night - again, it was great!
But The Big Call - a host without a personality, a Blankety Blank set, celebrities, question after question after question after question after YAWN! I thought 'This show is going nowhere - won't bother watching this next week!'.
The basic concept is ok - £20, 000 prize or £100,000 worth of lottery tickets. But the process is just too long and boring -and the host is dismal. I think It would work better as a strand in something like Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Take-away.
Well I'm sure every-bloody-one else here works for the BBC, but there you go.
No...not at all...my job is not related to television or media at all. And when I spot a BAD show, it must be a pretty downright dirty rotter. Unlucky for the 2.6 million unfortunate individuals who didn't spot this for themsleves last week.
Why do ITV comission this rubbish? Or re-comission even more rubbish that did terribly the first time it was on? ITV needs a major, major revamp or it will lose the little respect it has at the moment. Even Five has a more varied schedule with more quality tv shows than them.
