Got to say, I like the idea of this. I've always wondered whether a gameshow would adopt a lottery theme before, and it seems like this 'take £20000 or gamble' will be a good twist to the 'Big Call' format.

The only downside is, we lottery players now have less of a chance to win a big jackpot!

All I can say about this programme is:-

YAWN YAWN YAWN!

The set looks pretty awful - it looks like a GIANT Blankety Blank Set! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

And not even Terry Wogan presenting with his wand!

A dismal programme! Rolling Eyes

So foxy asked the "computer" whether any tickets matched 5 numbers, and it said NO. So the why did they create loads of suspense and wonder whether he had matched all 6?!!!

Ha ha ha!

They guy didn't even match 5 numbers!

So if he didn't match 5 numbers, they why did they bother asking whether he had matched 6 numbers?

What's the point of that then huh? Rolling Eyes

And what a ridiculously easy question to the home viewer:-

Where was The Royal Ascot meeting held this year? Rolling Eyes

Honestly! York! Anyone who didn't know that must be pretty thick.

Won't be watching this again! I only watched 5 mins at the beginning and the last 10 mins this week.

I did also wonder that but I presume because they were looking a 5 numbers ONLY in that section.

I think it's a decent enough format, the gamble at the end is good, we'll have to see in future how many take the gamble, and how many win more than the £20,000.

I thought it was quite good really, its been so long since ITV had a new quiz show this was quite a welcome addition to the schedule

Well there was a chance that a ticket with all 6 numbers could come up even if none with 5 came up.

HOW?

If you had a ticket with the numbers:-

1 , 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

and the lottery numbers that came up were:-

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7

well you have matched 5 numbers, but there's no way of you getting all 6 there? Isn't that pretty obvious? Confused:

Well they often ask an easy question in these phone in things to make sure the caller gets it right (unless they are thick)

And clearly the reason they asked if any tickets had 6 numbers was because none had come up with 5 numbers ONLY so there could have been one with all 6.

I see what you mean. It means did any match just 5. If they matched 6, they would not appear in the match 5 section.

I justthought about what the poster had said - if you think about it you'll uderstand - it's hard to explain.

They probably had memories of The Vault in the back of their minds, how many times did the jackpot roll over last year, for about 10 weeks?!
