The Americans

It's great to have this show on ITV for the final series. ITV 4 are showing series 6. What a start in Episode 1 with a 'catch up' to the music of Crowded House. Superb acting and writing. Captures the period and portrays the angst of fully developed characters. So underrated, this programme deserves a bigger audience to match it's critical acclaim.

Hasn't it always been on one of the ITV channels?

It was shown in the past on ITV Encore, but with its eventual closure in May, it has been moved to ITV4. Earlier this year the previous seasons were aired overnight on ITV4 in preparation.

Pretty sure the first series was on ITV1 (as it was then).
