My quick thoughts on abc1 presentation: smart, crisp and well executed.

How refreshing not to have 'live-action' idents. The trailer openers and ends are nice and clear and the on-screen now and nexts are simple, quick and not too obtrusive.

Generally, I think the channel has got it right, though the trailers feel repetitive already... Bring on the ads!

it's an mheg screem

actually i can't see anything wrong with it, apart from the capital S in sept. if you are really concerned with that you should get out more.

No question -- "Unhappily" was a direct rip-off of "MWC" that was part of The WB's first season schedule from 1995 (and ran through 1999).

Surely you mean lower case S! Wink

Point is, they are a professional organisation. There is no need for such sloppiness when it comes to writing! Unfortunately it seems to be catching on - see hmv.co.uk! Rolling Eyes

And is it me, or is this screen still displaying on the channel? Confused

They seem to be using another green/orange ident for the weekends which is very nice, slight rework of the jingle (with a hammond organ playing it I think) and lots of dots and circles coming up over the screen, a few ones flying about etc etc.

You'd have to see it to see what I mean!

Actually, the beginning part looks much more like the actual abc ident in America, with lots of expanding circles.

Originally I was disappointed that ABC1 isn't going on Sky for now, but having seen that schedule, I'm not so bothered now. I can't see anything I'd want to watch.

Is ABC1 ever going to be on Sky? If so do we know when?

Probably eventually, just not yet.

Green and orange dots ident used for comedy programming, blue and grey ident used for drama and soaps.

Hope that clears it up.
