Last year BBC One NI had the 11 Plus Test and you could play along interactively through BBCi. Guess what, it's coming back for a second series...

You can take the last test online at www.bbc.co.uk/ni/11plus

The Interactive feed on BBCi (Satelite and Freeview only in NI) will be like the Test The Nation feeds where the coloured buttons are answers.

BBC One NI on Sky Digital won't feature the show - instead they will show the usual Saturday night feed from BBC Scotland apparently.

And if anyone is asking where this came from, it's from the August 15th edition of RTE Guide.

I can't see why that would be - and why a feed from BBC Scotland?

I'm on about digital satelite OUTSIDE of Ulster. BBC One NI on 101 will show the 11+, but BBC One NI in Scotland, England and Wales on the EPG at 94x won't. BBC One Scotland will show the rest of the networked programmes on this. The reason the feed is coming from BBC Scotland is because the 11+ can't be shown outside of Ulster this year as it breaches some agreement they have with the Education Authority up there. Hope this clarifies things for you.

That's not possible, technically or editorially. They're the same channel. It's just that they appear in different positions on the EPG depending on what your postcode is.

Presumably they could switch the channel broadcast on channel 9 hundred and whatever to BBC1 Scotland temporarily.

Although there is nothing to stop viewers from tuning in manually if they so desire.

Yes - the only way of ensuring people outside Northern Ireland don't see the show is to not broadcast it on satellite at all.

I have just spoken to someone at BBC NI who said that the 11+ won't be broadcast on digital satelite. It will be on digital cable, Freeview, analogue and top-up tv. The digital interactive feed will be available on cable, Freeview and top-up.tv. There are plans to bring it to the DSAT platform, but they are awaiting confirmation from the Education Authority.

But, BBC One (national) will plug the website nearer the date so you can take part - however, the images will be removed and replaced with their own graphic.

Thanks to the Dixon plan and living in Craigavon at the time, I didn't have to do the 11+.

Wish I did now though. The 11+, not live in Craigavon that is.

Anyway, back on topic, I wonder which celebrities BBC NI will rope in this year - same as last year (Julian, Nuala McKeever, most of the Give My Head Peace cast?) And if we get to hear them say "S**t!" everytime they realise they've got an answer wrong? And will Big Eamonn and the ubiquitous Christine Blakely be hosting again?
