I thought he would be quite good at this sort of thing, he comes across as spontaneous on game shows; I've always suspected him to be a "wit", but I supposed he's more constrained when doing quiz shows etc.
Never heard him live on Radio 1 though, but I'd imagine he'd be quick-witted on that too?
I note that the actors played along a bit more this week too, I felt.

Vernon's surprisingly good at this, he didn't even ponder.

Loved Richard Wilson in the restaurant warm up.
I agree with you there,
the person who won it deserve to win it

I enjoyed tonights, and even though I've seen Rufus presenting I was very impressed with his adlibbing skills.
One thing that did hit me was the amount of fillers. I'm sure that the show would work better as a 30 minute programme without showing the warm ups, and the Paul Merton sketch, and have Paul the main character of the all in to really test them all. I know it isn't the improvisation that he'd want to do, but I think that it may work better as a programme in a 30 minute format rather than a 60, though they may have to drop it to 3 people with an all in at the end.

Yes this seems to be getting better each week.
Who is that Rufus chap? What has done on tv before?
He was VERY good and most certainly deserved to win! The car-crash chav was so realistic! lol
Would this programme be better off in a 22:30 slot after the News At Ten one night?

I've said from week one that would be best - three people in a thirty minute slot.
Sixty minutes is far too long for a format which basically has the same round repeated 5 or 6 times. I think a bit more variation is needed - perhaps having one round using a member of the audience, and another where the celebs know the script and it's Paul (or that member of the audience) who walk into the unknown scene - just something a bit different. And perhaps a scene on location where someone is set up candid camera style to walk in on a scene unknowingly.
