What if thames not carlton

If thames had won over carlton, would it have the funds to take over central and westcountry?

more likely Thames would have been taken over instead or left independent for a long time

At the time, Thames were looking for a buyer rather than wanting to buy other companies, and Carlton had the advantage of being a publisher rather than a producer, so would save money on production costs and more capital to buy other companies.
