TG4 is broadcasting on channel 59 from Belfast (Divis or Black Mountain). Signal weak here in Bangor - co channel no doubt with vertically polarised Bangor tx - a friend in the town has a touch of co-channel and discovered it was from a UTV broadcast. UTV Bangor is the same channel allocation. On my (and my friend's) RTE aerial no signal, but on our Scottish aerials (group B) for Cambret Hill we are picking a grainy colour signal of TG4.

Can anyone confirm if teletext is being broadcast? Thanks

I'm on the North Down coast and here I get no picture at all - barely a signal. Mind you, it's wildly out of group for the aerials used in the Belfast area - BBC ONE, TWO, UTV, C4 and C5 are Group A (21-37), but TG4 is on channel 59, and clearly on very low power!

I'm up in the Four Winds area and I am receiving Ch 59. However, as has been said, it does appear to be quite low power. My reception of TG 4 from Clermont Carn is marginally worse than Ch 59...and yes, there is a teletext signal on Ch 59.

Just had a check, no signal at all here in this part of Dundonald (unless they're not testing at present).

Parity of Esteem!?

I've checked throughout the day and it's been broadcasting any time I've checked. My signal from Clermont Carn is far superior to the Belfast signal.

I get a stronger signal (from an aerial pointed at Divis) from BBC ONE Scotland from Cambret Hill than I get from TG4's Belfast transmitter... though any signal at all is stronger than no signal, which is precisely what I am getting!
