Christian O'Connell? He also gets on with Evans and has presented a similar format on C5.

Does he?
When Christian was presenting Fighting Talk on Five Live, there was the occasional 'coded' comment when someone mentioned the 'manager of the team' and whilst he didn't mention him by name, he did let out comments out about how it sounded like his time on 'Live With'.

I've always took those as his working relationship with Evans was always a little 'testy'

Didn't O'Connell have a panic attack and collapse in his 'Live With' dressing room after Evans laid into him in an unpleasant manner?

But Evans seemed to get on OK with O'Connell when he was interviewed about his book in 2009 (it's on YouTube if you want a look).

Anybody have any specific stories about the Live With Chris Moyles debacle? All I've been able to find out is that Moyles was binned for O'Connell in quite an unsatisfactory manner and fell out with Evans as a result of his time on the show/the way he was dismissed.

TFI New Years Eve is on this evening at 19:30, and is very likely to be the last TFI hosted by Chris Evans for the forseeable future depending on whether his version of Top Gear is a resounding success, an embarrassing flop, or somewhere in between.

Eitherway, if there is another TFI series commissioned for next year, we know Chris Evans won't be hosting it. So who'll be hosting? Grimmy seems the likeliest choice, even though he isn't well liked by some. It still won't be the same whoever they choose.

I'd say it will be the last TFI ever or for the foreseeable future as you say he may return if Top Gear isn't successful or for one off episodes such as New Years Eve. I don't think it would work with Grimmy or any other current Radio 1 presenter and the only other person I could of seen working on this was Chris Moyles when he was on Radio 1 but I don't see that happening now plus the relationship between Moyles and Evans doesn't seem to be that good either.

No special goodbye for Evans tonight or no back next year either. I'd say the show and Evans future on the show is still up in the air.

I think there is a combination of a few games being played here as well as Evans keeping his options open.

I think he would've mentioned something if he was definitely never coming back ever again.

Also, did anybody pick up on the CA's little dig at The Graham Norton Show, citing that Tarantino was actually appearing "unlike other chat shows"?

I didn't see the end. Interesting that he didn't say a final goodbye.

It might be the case it'll go into the format of Top Of The Pops where you only see it on New Year/Christmas?

Something tells me it isn't the end. We shall wait and see
