Seen a snippet of that on Twitter - brilliant to see after over 21 years. Zig and Zag never really worked as well with anyone else as they did with Chris.

The last couple of episodes have been really strong, and while I'm only half way through the Christmas special as I type this, it seems to have definitely found its feet. Just a shame it took a few episodes for it to do so - and an even bigger shame that it'll all be over in a fortnight.

It's had nothing to lose though and it's really paid off. And even if it comes back with another host, even Nick Grimshaw, I think it'll still have nothing to lose.

Caught up in TFI in full now and what a treat that was, especially with Gaby joining them at the end. Also a shame really James Corden's career has took off in the US as he would have been perfect to step into Chris's shoes - still can't believe nobody has picked up his show here.

Sky were supposed to have commissioned a series of weekly compilations, but little has been said about it recently. Frankly I think it's a shame to butcher it, and would rather have some American pop culture go over my head than miss bits.

Agree - think it would do rather well in an 11pm slot on any channel here, especially with BBC3 and Family Guy disappearing in the New Years. Air it 11pm from Tue-Fri, but make it available on demand earlier in the day and I think it could be a hit for broadcasters on both linear and on demand services.

I would've loved to have seen Craig Ferguson's show over here because it had a very English sense of humour, but with Corden having a far bigger profile in the UK, I can't see how we can get the Daily Show and not TLLS. I don't even think the obscurity of some of the guests would matter. I've seen guests on Norton's, Ross's and Carr's show that I've never heard of.

I imagine the same thing will happen - some channel will buy it up and promote it for the first six months, every night at a reasonable time, then start moving it later and later (under the notion that "most of its viewers record and then watch it later") before quietly dropping it.

I guess it's possible CBS are just asking more than any broadcaster is willing to pay for it, while I think they also had the bar sponsored by Budweiser which could cause potential problems here.

I did read something about CBS charging astronomical prices for international rights so that definitely can't be ruled out. I think the last time that happened was when ITV2 aired Letterman. Haven't a clue how long it's been since that happened.
