It has quickly made it's mark as the most enjoyable telethon of the year in a short term - the content is always far stronger than Children in Need especially.
Seems to be a pick and mix selection of presenters tonight with only Phillip deemed worthy of an intro - even Holly just appeared by his side a few minutes later as if she'd turned up late. No Ant and Dec in the studio this year but to be honest they've not missed them, while Caroline and Olly have had more chance to shine in half an hour on this than an entire 8 weeks of live shows of The X Factor.

It helps to break it up a bit, and reminds viewers of all the 'faces of ITV' all together in the same room
That's what I hate about Text Santa though. It's an ITV w*nkathon.
Does a 3 hour show really need 9 presenters?

I enjoy it more than CIN. It seems to flow better, and has less filler and more entertainment, whilst still getting the charity films in.
I think CIN overdoes it with the charity films, and tries to guilt trip viewers too much. It actually puts me off when I watch, and I often end up recording so I can skip a lot of it, and I find myself skipping most of the show.

We got the pug ident as well, with an STV logo - that would have meant nothing to most viewers up here.
Yes, in STV land we got a local intro and the rest of the break like that video except no ITV logo on the text Santa flashes

Could work especially next year. They seem to be hinting at HD going regional. I quite like having all of the presenters personally (apart from Christine who seems to just still tag along from when she joined Daybreak)
I agree they should try starting it at 7pm. They could also try doing one or a couple of live local links with the local news teams and people who have been fundraising.
