Test on Freeview

Does anyone have this channel? (August 2013)

Hi all.

I have had this channel for a while now, and it appears as "Test". It's bugging me. I'm wondering what it's all about, as it says "Coming Soon" on the EPG and I have no idea what it is all about. Does anyone have this on their channel list, and do they know what it is?

Thanks. Smile

Why don't you email these people about it and then post any interesting information you get back?

From what I can tell, Synapse is something to do with Internet videos. That's what it says when I click the link.

Once it's up and running, it will be a service that will allow viewers with certain types of TVs to access additional streams from the internet.
Similar to Arqiva's Connect TV service.

I wonder how long that'll take.

I guess they are running the platform/technology provision rather than providing the content? I suspect they are waiting for channels to sign up?

It's an interesting approach - have an EPG place-holder and MHEG5 app or similar that point internet connected TVs to IPTV streams.
