I'm not sure what it's designation is, but I've seen an HD variant of Testcard W, from TC3 (yes, really! there was a scanner involved) in the past. I can't say if that's what you'll see in the new barker, though...

I think I've seen a pic online of TCW with a "1080 lines" designation, much like the old TCD 405 lines and TCE 625 lines.

Not a full size one though unfortunately. If any one can cap a full-size one, please feel free to do so Smile

I randomly saw that whilst in Tesco Extra in Hull yesterday. 'There will now be a test signal displayed for 90 seconds' came up before it appeared, then there was the slightly surreal scenario of an entire wall of TVs all with the testcard on them!

The comment from old dear whilst waiting in a queue to their cafe; 'eee, I remember that from Life On Mars'... Laughing

You know something is wrong when not even 'old dears' remember the testcard from the real 70s instead of Life on Mars Laughing

Seeing the test card in a shop window this afternoon brought a tear to my eye... When I was a wee boy, back in the 70s, we still had a black and white telly at home and I always loved seeing the test card in colour in the window of the tv rental shop down the road. Give me the child when he is seven and I will show you the man. Mind, we're talking two or three here!
