Terry Jones passed away after a battle with dementia. I remember his last pubic appearance a few years ago to collect a special award from BAFTA Wales. His dementia was evident then. His son spoke on his behalf and it was heartbreaking to see him try and say something.

I will admit that I wasn't a Python fan but to see someone who was obviously an intelligent and creative man having his mind destroyed by such a terrible illness was so sad

He's probably in heaven now writing something with Graham Chapman.

RIP Terry.

In a funny way, I guess Terry might be having a titter to himself when he reads that typo. As shall The Flasher, undoubtedly.

RIP Terry.

He is an ex-Python...

John Cleese was on the phone talking to Colin Patterson for BBC News earlier. When asked how he'd remember Terry, he said he'd always associate him with Mr Creosote, and that "I shall think of him exploding."

There's an odd mix of original video and what looks like YouTube footage on the excerpt from his BAFTA award. Very sad that he couldn't really communicate in his last years, especially for someone who had such a way with words. I hope we see some clips of Medieval Lives , or even put some up on iPlayer.

I remember the glee and amusement I caused at school when I pointed out that someone had Tip-ex'd the words 'Pubic Enemy' on their brand new school bag Very Happy

The EPG has been updated to include the Imagine documentary of the Monty Python reunion show in 2014, at 11.15 tonight on BBC Two. I recommend watching it even if you’re not an Alan Yentob fan - really interesting and at times amusing documentary.

I wonder if UKTV will wheel out the Monty Python reunion again on Gold in the next week or so?
