I thought Danny Baker did a good job last week for standing in for Wogan,
Indeed, loved the introduction to the piece by 'The Barefoot Doctor' where Danny kept repeating the word 'quack'
If Danny doesn't get a series on 'five' out of this then there is no justice in this world
They should so what someone suggested on here and that they do a series of 5 minute programmes for the station, like Russell Grant, they could do something like Danny Baker's Observations of the world.
Shame T & G isn't on the BBC, as all three of them are all very BBC people. I wish I could get BBC LDN 94.9, as I hear he does a good breakfast show.
I know it's a bit silly to revive this thread, but did anyone see it today?
Well if you didn't, you missed a cracker, well I only saw the first 10 minutes, but Danny Baker took the oppurtunity to make his feelings clear to five about the cancellation of the show. He even admitted that this is the 11th show which he has been on that has been cancelled. But it was very funny and it had me in stiches for being so honest. Plus I loved it when he said: "You may have won this war Fern Britton!"
I think it's weird that five are replacing it with Brainteaser. That show is more of a lunchtime thing, not morning really and teh quiz 'Memory bank' is on at 1:30 which may do well because it's sort of a quiz and it may get brainteaser viewers aswell.
He even admitted that this is the 11th show which he has been on that has been cancelled.
Finally! he's getting the hint! The T&G show has been drivel from start to end

Well, that's it - and not without numerous witticisms by El Tel about the show's best bits. Incidentally Chris Evans said that if this one failed he'd set up a market stall. At the end of today's show, this appeared with him saying "Feck it, we tried" or words to that effect.
But a very good way to end the show, knowing Chris Evans you know that it wasn't going to go out quietly. Loved Terry's attitude towards the end with the Kids in Headphones, at least he admitted he was sick of that, but I loved it when he said...
"All profits from the phone calls will go to our next production, The Terry and Gaby Diamanique Hour on QVC!"
I am glad they showed Danny Baker and the microwave incident again, that was a classic. But what a great way to end a great show, it will be missed, shame the BBC didn't pick it up, as it felt like a BBC show today.
I thought it was great at the very end with Chris Evans, at least he was happy to prove himself wrong. Would have been better if they didn't bleep it out.
