I'm glad to see Grease will be on ITV1 over Christmas. I know it has been on ITV1 only back in August of this year, but it is always good to see it again. I hope ITV1 show the film uncut this time around though, as last time it was edited by about 5-10 minutes.
It's also good to see a couple of Bond films popping up on ITV1 over Christmas; Moonraker & Tomorrow Never Dies according to ITV's press release.
I don't mind watching the new bond films, as they are up to date, contain excellent effects, are well written, and can be made so much better. So basically any Pierce Brosnon Bond era. They never seem to have the new bond films on christmas day, they always appear to be the connery era.

But these films have been on at least 8 or 9 Tues and Weds
this year
. I don't see why they can't splash out on a decent film for Chrsitmas once in a while.
Yes I agree that a newer more up to date movie should be shown on Christmas Day. According to the early guides, Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace is not being scheduled for Christmas Day which is a shame as this is such a big family movie and would compete very nicely alongside BBC1 in the Christmas Day ratings war. Maybe when the final schedules are confirmed later this week ITV1 may change their minds though.
Also, I have heard that The Great Escape is being shown on ITV1 again over Christmas, I think on Christmas Eve in another prime time slot.

I suppose. But if they had to show any bond film, I'd want these.
Do you think this would be a good time to schedule 'The Grinch' as BBC One are going with Stuart Little on Christmas Day afternoon. A good family film is needed. What family film though? If they have the grinch this would be a good time, or would it be better in an afternoon christmas eve slot to get you in the festive mood?
I know DigiGuide should be releasing the full Christmas TV schedules this weekend, but is there a link on the BBC site or another site with the confirmed listings on. Since the BBC & ITV1 press offices have announced the Christmas lineup, there is a good chance there will be a link somewhere with the listings on.
Well with the BBC starting to 'drip out' some of the programmes/days/times on BBC ONE, in the next day or so the full BBC 1 & 2 schedule should be released on the BBC press office minisite - they were posted up there on the 5th of December last year and full 2 days before the Christmas Radio Times and digiguide...!
And the drip feed continues from the BBC -

On the BBC Press Office site, under the feature films for Christmas section, where it states ''Weeks 51 & 52 final list'' does this mean that it won't be updated anymore. I find BBC2's film choice very poor if this is to be the confirmed film listings, showing a very mean 3 films per day. For Christmas this is very poor for BBC2 which usually shows at least 5 or 6 films at least most Christmas's. You would have thought BBC2 schedulers would make more of an effort for the film lovers.
