Ive also noticed they have scheduled Des and Mel at 1pm up to and including Christmas Eve in the 1pm slot. The program they had scheduled in this slot on Thursday has been changed to go out at 2pm.

Des and Mel will also screen at 12.30pm on Monday 29th, Tues 30th and Wed 31st.

They are showing "For Your Eyes Only"

Hmm one of the better Roger Moore ones but if ITV had to have a Bond film I was hoping for one of the more recent ones.

The Star Wars film is supposed to be going out on Boxing Day, I think that would have been better on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve actually. Boxing Day has the 1964 film Zulu. Although remember schedules are subject to and will change!

One change, on Thursday it said the christmas morning film on ITV1 was The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe. This has now changed to Doug's 1st Movie!

Yes, I noticed that change of movie, trying to get the kids staying with itv1 i presume. Though they also have turner & hooch Confused before the queen.

I've enjoyed itv's schedules since September, but by early Christmas listings they are absolutely rubbish, unorganised and have no powerful content. The best they have is World Idol. I know they have some dramas coming back or one offs. They even have a christmas edition of where the heart is.

One of the things I dont like is the actual scheduling. They have odd random slots for CiTV, and have daytime shows for most of Christmas, including Today with Des & Mel all days except Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day. They have wierd commisions like 50's and 60's in colour. I dont get why they do things like this. Christmas is supposed to be a nice time to reflect on things (not half way through last century!), and be entertained.

itv's films aren't that good this year. I think the best offering is Star Wars Ep 1, the rest are all old and have been seen many times before. Non of them are festive!

Why can't we get good family, entertaining schedules for just once in the year!?

Weekday afternoons at least, it looks to me to be 3.10-5.00pm on Monday 22nd & Tuesday 23rd and then 2.35-5.00pm in the second week.

It is strange that Trisha is scheduled a lot of days but they've still got Breakfast on BBC1. I can't see three hours of news and News24 fillers starting christmas morning on BBC1 some how!

Is BBC2's morning schedue still scheduled to show CBBC from7am until 9am then? Do the updated guides confirm what BBC2 is showing between 9am and 10am? I'm hoping BBC2 show a few Laurel & Hardy films in this slot, fingers crossed anyway.

Regardless of what is showing on ITV1 this Christmas, I do hope all their programming is not sponsored by Rennie like previous years.

I hated those ads before every programme, and says it all really doesn't it - ITV's Christmas Entertainment sponsored by an indigestion tablet. Laughing

Oh God, they were awful them, I seem to remember one where I think someone topped a bowl of jelly with something awful on it, which made it look disgusting and just very poor, it makes me hit the CH+ button to be honest. Though ones which wern't bad were for the ones for Panasonic's TV's and phones, at least they wern't that bad. Though to be honest I think all of the decent programmes on ITV1 are sponsored anyway, and to be honest they will probably be the only shows which get some good viewing figures.

Haven't seen this in any of the early listings, but it seems like ITV's big Christmas Movie Premiere will be The Grinch. There are more details in the official press release

Let's go through that and compare with what's in the early listings:

"Ant and Dec, Posh and Becks and England's World Cup winning rugby team will lead ITV's ratings charge this Christmas. Pop Idol presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will host the live final of the reality talent show before last year's winner Will Young takes part in a global final, World Idol, on Christmas Day and Boxing Day"

Boxing Day will be a repeat won't it?

"David and Victoria Beckham will star in a Christmas Eve documentary about the England football captain's move to Real Madrid"

Shown as Christmas Day in the early listings!

"while Chris Tarrant will salute England's rugby heroes in We Are The Champions: A Nation Celebrates, on 20 December. Highlights of the World Cup campaign will be replayed on Boxing Day"

Both not in the early listings!

"In the run up to Christmas, on Sunday 21 December, Ken Stott takes on a challenging new role as a down and out in need of salvation in Promoted to Glory"

Previously shown as Christmas Eve!

"Julie Walters returns to ITV1 on Tuesday 30 December in The Return, a psychological thriller in which she stars as a lifer on parole serving a sentence for the murder of her husband"

shown as Sunday 21st December!

"There will be more Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire with two episodes on Christmas Day and another on Saturday 27 December".

Only one episode was shown for Christmas Day!

It shows how wrong the early listings are, they're not worth the paper they are written on really!

Its a shame some of the films on itv2 aren't on itv1, along with a pantomine. Why did they stop this, it was becoming a tradition, though when it went from christmas eve one year to new years day the next, you knew they were going to drop it.

The grinch sounds like a good premiere, if they have got it, i wonder when they will show it though.

I'm glad the beckham documentary has been moved out of the christmas day slot, i dont know why its on at christmas at all. Couldn't they show it now?

There could have been so many better choices, but then again so many worse. It seems better than last year, though we still have the two hours of soap!

When was ITV1 sponsored by TV Travel Shop last year?? Was that at the start of the new year or before? I wonder if TV Travel shop can afford it again this year??
