Talking of schedules, can I just say how rubbish Challenge TV's Christmas line-up looks this year, especially after last years Cult Selection.

This year, they're having a "Japanese Christmas Cracker" with back to back showings of such classics as Extreme Endurance, Sushi TV, Iron Chef, Incredible Edible Challenge, Drunken Businessmen and of course Takeshi's Castle. Crap.

Last year was fab with showings of the Adventure Game, 3-2-1, Bullseye, The Generation Game, Crackerjack etc etc.

I remember waking up last christmas and watching a takeshi's special, that was good.

Anyway. You say this christmas is bad have you noticed how crap challenge has got over the past year. They have resorted to putting all programmes that the channel was created for, i.e. game in the afternoon to make way for guiness world records (Confused ), and back to back programming on Poker (Confused), along with those rubbish cartoon idents. The channel has gone downhill, and fast. Why can't it just go back to its happy joyous old self full of fun, quizzes and entertainment.

Taekishi's castle - that's just funny lol!

I really liked the 3-2-1 Night they ran on Challenge TV in 2000 - Ted Rogers hosted it just before his sad death a little while later... they did the A-Z of 3-2-1 if I remember rightly, and showed classics right from 1978 to 1988 - I wouldn't actually be adversed to seeing it return in a new 21st Century format, but I don't think it could work without Ted personally.

Well do I assume that the absense of a thread means that nobody here bothered with 'Test the Nation' this time around?

Personally the fact that Coronation Street, Dead Ringers and Frank Skinner was on at the same time I didn't bother with it. Anne and Phil's long drawn out presenting is a bit tiresome as well

I took part on interactive, the turned over to watch the end of the kumars whilst they processed my result, turned back over, the news had started, and the thing had gone off with the press red thing back! So I don't know how well i did.

Do it on-line then. I never watch it on the TV, but whizz through it on the internet. They take soooo long to ask all the questions and go through the results on the TV, it gets boring.

I tried to do Test The Nation on TV and on NTL we got nothing at all, we got the BBCi menu and no link to it, I think it might have been in the walled garden BBCi but as SE said it is very slow and often crashes.

Though Corrie wasn't great last night, but Dead Ringers was one of the best ones ever, especially with Simon Cowell and Bush and Saddam playing Hide and Seek plus Paul Burrell and his products including the Diana Blow up Doll, very very funny. Even Frank Skinner was good last night, we even had Japser Carrott on it, he even explained how David Liddiment was interested in buying Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
