I have to agree there, the first two are kids films, frankly I wouldn't even consider watching them, The Thomas Crown Affair isn't lively or fun and to be honest is on quite late for a big film to be honest. Airplane II is okay, but I would prefer it if they showed the first Airplane, but again why is it on so late??
Though some of the better films aren't on Christmas Day at all, such as Meet The Parents (Very funny stuff) and Santa Claus (Is a good family film and is rather festive, though to be honest not Christmas Day material anymore.)
Lets hope ITV has a better Christmas Day movie choice, though I am glad they're repeating Me Myself and Irene and Austin Powers again, both very funny films.
Though why don't ITV repeat The Booze Cruise over Christmas, it got 10 Million viewers first time, it was very funny and it hasn't been repeated at all, where as the other ITV flops of late have.

Disappointing films on Christmas Day in my opinion. Although Airplane 2 is fab.

TV Quick said that last year, but yet it still didn't go on sale until the Tuesday after.
Unless that was just in my area?

Last year the TV Times did state that it would be going on sale from the Tuesday, but I got a big surprise when I went to my local shop to find that they had it on sale (but not on the shelves). I notice the TV Times says that the Christmas issue will be on sale on Tuesday 9th Dec - or sooner, so again it just might be out this weekend like it was last year hopefully.
Failing that though, DigiGuide should have the complete Christmas listings from tomorrow or Saturday latest according to the DigiGuide forums. At a glance though on the BBC press office website, the schedule looks to me fairly poor this year, but this press office site doesn't reveal everything or even schedules. All it reveals are highlights, so hopefully there are more things in the schedule to see that we don't know yet.
I am still intrigued to know if Breakfast is on BBC1 every morning. I wonder if this schedule has been carried over from the rough early guides or not and Learning Zone on BBC2 everynight.

It's possible I suppose - kids are used to seeing programmes for them on BBC2 (not BBC1) on weekday and Sunday mornings - the only day there are children's programmes on BBC1 is Saturday. Perhaps the BBC want to have Breakfast on BBC1 every morning to give viewers continuity.

Just had a look at them and 2 things..
1- There is a MASSIVE (nee embarrasing) error somewhere in the BBC ONE schedule. Just for fun, who'll be first to spot it
2 - Any reason why In Xmas week, Top Gear starts at 7.00pm, then in new year week it's back to it's regular slot of 8.00pm.? There's nothing Live on BBC TWO on the 21st, so I wonder if it's because of a programme over on BBC One, that they are scared it'll take some of the audience away at 8.00pm, I wonder...

Now this IS interesting - Breakfast is on BBC 1 EVERY DAY over Christmas, including on Saturday 20th and 27th - does this mean that the relaunch will see the end of Weekend 24?

Showing Breakfast for 3 hours on Christmas day on BBC1 really is a bizzare decision. I wouldn't have thought that the BBC1 controller would want such a programme on her channel.
Breakfast on Christmas Day will no doubt be something like Bill Turnbull reading a short news update and then linking into News 24 filler programmes, news reviews and other boring unchristmassy stuff.
Also kids will have to switch over from CBBC2 to CBBC1 at 9am!

The BBC1 Christmas Day schedule seems a bit flat this year although there is some good stuff on over the holiday season. Glancing through the schedules on Digiguide, I think it's a slightly stronger line up from ITV1 overall, certainly an improvement on last year I reckon.

I think Top of the Pops is missing from the listings, Digiguide has BBC News from 13:50 - 15:00. That ought to keep the most ardent of BBC News fans happy
